Visiting Hastings, Nebraska
In town for the tournament, the track or Kool-Aid Days?
Hastings brings in visitors all year. When the games are over, the race is run or the parade has passed, the Reno is the place downtown to land with your team, your crew or your family.
Kool-Aid Days
Edwin Perkins invented Kool-Aid right here in 1927, and every August Hastings throws a festival for it — the downtown parade, the Hastings Museum, the fairgrounds and Lake Hastings. You’ve had your Kool-Aid. Now it’s time for a cocktail.

Baseball & softball tournaments
Every summer, teams and families pour into Hastings for games at Duncan Field — host of American Legion state tournaments — the Smith Softball Complex and youth tournaments like the Brickyard Bash. Bring the parents’ crew to the patio after the last game.

A downtown on the rise
Downtown Hastings is coming back to life: restored façades and renovated buildings, new businesses, new loft apartments, and a fresh streetscape of planters, streetlights and trees. The Reno is proud to be part of it — our own building has been remodeled twice.
